This policy details how the Gemini AI Discord Bot handles information:

Discord User ID and Guild ID: When you interact with the bot (e.g., sending a message, using a command), the bot receives your Discord User ID and the Guild (Server) ID. This is standard for bot operation and is used to provide responses and manage features like conversation history.
Message Content: The bot receives the text content of your messages to process your requests (e.g., answering questions, generating images). This content is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your request via the AI service.
Conversation History: To maintain context in conversations, the bot stores a limited history of your recent message exchanges. This history is tied to your User ID and is stored locally on the bot's server using a SQLite database.
Channel Configuration: Server administrators can configure specific text, image, or Gemini channels. The bot stores the Guild ID and Channel ID associated with these configurations in its database.
Server Safety Settings: Administrators can set custom safety thresholds for their server. The bot stores the Guild ID and the corresponding safety settings (e.g., harassment, hate speech thresholds) in its database.

Your User ID and Guild ID are used to direct responses back to you and the correct channel.
Your message content is sent to the AI service (Google's Gemini API or a Gemini Search API) to generate responses or images based on your input.
Your conversation history is used to provide context for the AI, leading to more coherent conversations.
Channel configuration data is used to determine where the bot should respond and how.
Safety settings are applied to AI requests made within that specific server.

Discord User IDs, Guild IDs, message history, channel configurations, and safety settings are stored in a local SQLite database on the bot's server.
Access to this database is restricted.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
When interacting with the AI service, your message content is transmitted to the service provider (Google or the Gemini Search provider). Please refer to their respective privacy policies (e.g., Google's Privacy Policy) for how they handle data.

Conversation history is kept only as long as necessary for the bot's functionality (e.g., the last few exchanges).
You can request to clear your specific conversation history using the /clearhistory command within Discord.
If you wish for your data to be deleted entirely, please contact the bot developer.
Channel configurations and safety settings remain until changed or removed by the server administrator.
